The first place we stopped in Cali was Eureka.  We met a couple people in a pizza place that told us of a beach where we could camp up in Arcata, Clam Beach.  It was dark when we pulled in so it took us a while to get wood collected and a fire burning.  Once it was started, we had no problem burning huge chunks of driftwood in the incredible ocean wind.   We talked around the fire with a fellow beach bum named Tim.  The next morning, we headed towards SanFran with the intention of arriving in time to see the sun set, without success.   We headed to UC Berkeley to find people our age, but it was a monday night and not too many people were out.  On Tuesday, we dropped Reilly off at the airport.  We were all having financial stress because of the cost of all the van work.  Reilly and I don't have the time to make it back before leaving for South America in January.   Matt, Justin, and I went to see the Golden Gate Bridge and the bunker hill across the bay inlet from SanFran.   We also checked out the tourist trap that is Fisherman's Wharf and also the Golden Gate Recreation Area.  We found a few museums in the G. G. Rec. Area including the Academy of Sciences.  After visiting, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, unless they could get in on the free day.  Luckily, we went on that monthly free day.  We had to rush to the pier to catch a boat to Alcatraz and Spent the day there.  We went to Mexican restaurant that had some of the spiciest food I've had in a while and left SanFran.  Of course, in our time there we spent many hours touring the city by car.  This wasn't really done on purpose, though, we had a lot of trouble navigating with the city map.
